Perfect conditions to get James, Joes and Dad a quick intro course to kite flying. Gave them all a go, no real hairy moments so overall was a success with every one of them doing pretty well. Jose was quite good seeing as he's flown kites before, James was our token beginner and dad wasn't bad for an old man.
After an hour or so the wind picked up a tad so I decided to have a go myself and get on the water. The rip was pretty strong with the Southerly wind so it ended up being a bit of a downwinder and in the gusts I was blown off the water with the limited depower capability.
Went for a few jumps here and there and then overcooked one with me focusing more on my landing rather than fly the kite so ending up with a big stall and then a long swim back in.
It's amazing the difference between the old co2 and my more recent Trix. Now I know why I never fly the Co2. The Co2 catches every gust and you go along with it even when you depower but with the Trix, you simply depower.
